Princess Zoe

I'm not sure what Zoe Kravitz does. I know she's been dipping her toe in the acting pool and folks seem to follow her fashion sense but, outside of being the daughter of Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz... I don't really get it. I have nothing against her and her hustle. She's hustled her way into a campaign with none other than Vera Wang. That's right, Zoe is the face of the designers new fragrance, Princess. She definitely seems to be living a life worthy of that title. I have two words: WORK IT!

America's Next Top Changes

So I've been hearing whispers of some changes to come at America's Next Top Model. Some have said that the show hasn't been doing so great in the ratings department with the current cycle of shorter models. So, the show's producers are planning so shake things up a bit. I'm hearing that Kimora Lee Simmons will be returning to the judges panel. You'll remember she was a part of the show for the first cycle. We'll she's back and she's apparently bringing Vogue's editor-at-large, Andre Leon Talley with her. They're both whispered to be joining the show in its next cycle. Kinda makes you wonder who's leaving, right? I mean, you wouldn't have so many people on the panel would you? Well, seems the answer to the question of who's getting the boot is good ole Miss Jay! What in the world is going on over there at Top Model? Tyra might be catching more heat for this shake up. First Janice Dickinson had some not-so-nice parting works for the mogul and most recently, Paulina Porizkova put the former model on the spot for her unfavorable dismissal. There could be a silver lining in all of this. I have been hearing for months now that the two Jays' (Jay Manuel & Jay Alexander) were teaming up to do their own show. This may be the beginnings of that. Time we'll tell. I'll be tuning in...

Fragrant Fergie

Can Fergie's star rise any higher? She is a member of the super group the Black Eyed Peas, she has a successful solo career, she's got a shoe and handbag line, she's starring in a high profile movie with Academy Award winning actors (Nine) and now she has a fragrance deal with Avon. The fragrance hasn't been named yet but it's being described as fresh and modern. She says she's been developing it with the beauty giant for over a year. She's striving to make a scent that's for confident, strong women. Sounds like me...hehehe. It will be launching in November of next year.

Super Model Super Powers

The supermodel super powers will be fully activated on Project Runway. Cindy Crawford will be sharing her fashion expertise on the judges panel. This season of the show has been full of star power with appearances by Eva Longoria Parker and Rebecca Romijn. Another surprising guest appearance will be the Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa who will appear with Tim Gunn in a segment. The episode will determine which final five contestants will move on to Fashion Week.

First Lady Cover Girl

Check out that cover girl. This year, Glamour is honoring First Lady Michelle Obama with a Special Recognition award in its women of the year issue. She's being recognized for her commitment to mentoring young women. She'll appear on one of many covers. It's the first time in the mag's 70-year history that a First Lady has graced its cover. Kind of a big deal, I would say! Congrats First Lady Obama! Your fashion sense alone gives you major clout, your work with kids is more icing on the very stylish cake!

Klum's Kloset

Everybody act surprised now! After six seasons of helping hopeful designers realize their dreams on Project Runway Heidi Klum has been inspired to sit in the designers seat. The supermodel has joined forces with Modern Vintage and Majestic Mills co-founders Rick and Brian Cytrynbaum to create a lifestyle collection. We can expect that collection to include footwear, dresses, swimwear and activewear. This won't be her first time trying her hand as designer though. She has designed shoes and jewelry for awhile now. This is definitely a logical next step. The line is reported to be taking a page out of Klum's closet and going in the direction of feminine style with a rock and roll edge. Her 48-style shoe collection will be the first to hit stores in February 2010 and will include everything from stilettos to tall boots. The supermodel/supermom will also be adding a maternity line to her massive empire launching in February as well. Such a natural fit, right?!

Mary-Kate and Ashley continue to grow their fashion empire. From Elizabeth and James to the high-end The Row these ladies can't be stopped. Olsenboye will be a causal sportswear line with accessories inspired by teen trends from cities around the world. Every new collection will highlight a different city. Sounds line a fun idea and a great way to keep the line fresh with continuous sources of inspiration. Foggy or Steamy?

The husband and wife duo apparently never gets old. Posh and Becks famously teamed up for ads with Armani and now Eva and Tony are steaming up London Fog. They couple are featured in current ads for the company. I have to say, I never thought of London Fog as a "sexy" company but, their recent ads with Gisele and now Eva and Tony is an eye opener. I guess they are taking off in a new direction as of late. I mean, everyone else is going the sexy route, why not London Fog.

Like A Fox

There's a lot of moving going on at Emporio Armani. First the company announced that soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo would replace David Beckham as the face of their underwear (don't understand that one at all!). Now comes word that they will also be replace Victoria Beckham! With whom, you ask? None other than Megan Fox. I don't get it. I know that men are crazy about this girl well, I guess I just answered my own question. That's exactly why they hired her! I guess I just don't automatically equate her with fashion like Victoria. Megan slips into the Italian designer's underwear starting in January. She'll be featured in worldwide print and billboard campaigns not only for Emporio Armani Underwear but, Armani Jeans as well.

Smells like Black Eyed Peas

I used to see Avon very differently. My mom and her friends used to buy the stuff. We couldn't get enough of the bubble bath or the Skin So Soft spray. Well, Avon is not your mama's beauty brand anymore. They keep raising the bar with celebrity endorsements from the young crowd. The newest face of Avon is none other than solo artist and Black Eyed Peas front woman, Fergie. She'll be joining Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Hudson as faces of the brand. Fergie is set to release a fragrance with the company that will be available next year. Of the partnership, she says, “I love the roster of women Avon has supported. Each one is completely different, but they are all wonderful, strong women who have a purpose. It was very important to me to bring what I have to the table. I’m a bit more rock ’n’ roll than some of the other artists, and Avon has really allowed my personality to come through.” Work it out then, Fergie Ferg!

SATC, SJP and N YC

Celebrities and fragrances are inseparable these days. From Kim Kardashian to Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce. Sarah Jessica Parker is no exception. The actress' first fragrance was Lovely. She's since had a few other fragrances under her belt with the latest being inspired by her Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw. It's a fruity, floral scent that's described as Carrie Bradshaw in a bottle. SJP tells Womens' Wear Daily (WWD), “A large part of the inspiration was what I now understand to be people’s impressions of seeing Carrie Bradshaw walk down the street and what feelings that evokes for her and for them — a real sense of freedom and possibilities, a love for the city around her and, of course, fashion”. Coty Prestige will launch SJP NYC exclusively in Macy's stores in February. Right in time to get us all into a frenzy for the release of the Sex and the City 2 movies in May.
