Beauty Ain't Cheap

The Victoria's Secret fashion show will be making men drool this December, this we know. I'm pretty sure Heidi Klum won't be in the lineup this year as she JUST popped out baby number four. What I am sure of is a new model will be rocking the all-important "Fantasy Bra" this year. Marissa Miller has been chosen to strut the $3 million dollar, diamond-studded creation down the runway. The year the diamonds range in color from champagne and cognac to white all in a harlequin pattern. The showstopper on this year's bra is the 16 carat, you read that right, 16 carat, heart-shaped champagne diamond pendant that dangles in the middle. Ah, the price of beauty...

The Victoria's Secret Challenge

Heidi Klum has all the qualities of a supermodel and a superwoman. With a shoe line, jewelry line, modeling career, television show, three kids and a successful marriage. I'd say she's certainly something rare in this town. Now with baby number four on the way in October the mogul has another challenge ahead of her: The Victoria's Secret runway show! She famously hit the runway soon after having baby number three and the runway chatter is "can she do it again". If the does, she'd be practically superhuman. Her bundle will be making its way here in mid-October and the Victoria's Secret show is in November. I'm sure all eyes will be on the catwalk to see if she can do it again. That would put the s-u-p-e-r in supermodel. I'm just saying...

When CS met VS

Since winning Project Runway Christian Siriano has been one busy designer! He's already linked up with Bluefly.com for a clothing line, he also has a shoe collection with Payless and a maternity line. He has been working his fierceness all over the place. Now he's partnered with beauty/lingerie giant Victoria's Secret to launch his own collection of makeup for the brand. Hmm, could Heidi Klum have anything to do with this hook up? She already has her own signature collection with the brand. His glam new collection is the limited-edition Christian Siriano for VS Makeup. It includes five shadow shades, black liner, three gloss colors, a bronzer-highlighter, makeup brush and a ruffled cosmetic bag. Prices for the collection will start at $12 for eyeliner and top out at $32 for the luxe face brush. Sounds like a fierce deal to me!

Bling Thing

The fourth of July is tomorrow. Here in Los Angeles, everyone will be hitting the beaches
all weekend. Personally, I'm so excited that the long weekend is kicking in and I'm going to enjoy every second of it! Some of my time will be spent having some fun in the sun and this bikini is the right way to do it. It hits all the right notes! The top is a triangle bra top covered in sequin
sparkles. Love it! the bottom is a scoop bottom with just enough coverage to keep it family friendly. It's the perfect holiday bikini without getting caught up in the themed red, white and blue of it all.

This or that?

This style of sandal was one of my recent purchases. There is no shortage of designers making them from Nine West to Colin Stuart. The difference is, however, in the price. I found these Steve Madden lovelies for a cool forty-seven bucks(top). As I was strolling through Target for a little bargain hunting I found this ever popular style again(bottom). This time it was for the bargain basement price of fourteen dollars. So many designers, one summer style. I know imitation is the highest form of flattery, I'd just like to know who is imitating who.

Golden Goddess!

I found this glamorous beauty last year for my honeymoon and I've been wearing them out ever since! These sparklers are a Victoria's Secret find. I watched them for at least a year, waiting for them to go on sale. They didn't but I bought them anyway! These sandals look good with EVERYTHING! From jeans to dresses, dressy or casual they work. When I bought them they were seventy bucks - now they are on sale for 49! I'm thinking about getting a back-up pair.

How do you like your cork, in a champagne bottle or on your shoe? If the fashion gods are lucky, you'll be rocking a little cork on your perfectly pedicured feet in no time. The trend is coming on strong with platform, peep-toe styles. Are they a fashion do or do-over?
