Designer to the stars,Roberto Cavalli is going on sale. Nope, it's not the kind that non-stars kind afford. The fashion giant is in talks to sell a minority stake in his company. Why, you ask? Well, it's all in an effort to fund international expansion. He has a few interested buyers. The Cavalli empire consists of a little bit of everything. From his runway collection to his Just Cavalli line and Roberto Cavalli vodka. Word has it, he's found a buyer in a Milan-based private equity fund. Mr. Cavalli told Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore that he is close to a deal. He would be selling 15 to 20 percent of the company. In case you're interested in making an offer. The cost is 1.84 billion dollars! I guess the fashion business isn't completely belly up in this worldwide recession. Go figure.

In tough times... translated as five dollar a gallon gas time. I've resorted to altering my shopping habits. I started doing this anytime money was tight. Instead of buying new shoes or an outfit I'd buy something for my place. It seemed to help quench my shopping appetite and for less money. Think about it, it's certainly less expensive to get a nice piece to add flavor to a room than to buy some strappy, platform pumps to spice up an outfit. With that in mind, I headed to Crate & Barrel. I love this store! It doesn't hurt that they are having a sale. I found this Sylvia vase reduced from fifty-nine to twenty-nine dollars. That's a deal I can live with, I'll use my savings to top off my tank!
