Girl it Up

There are so many things to love about Scarlett Johannsen. Her movies, her fashion sense, her activism but, if her engagement ring is number one on the list of things you love about ScarJo keep reading! The woman behind the design of her ring, Sonia Boyajian has a knack for making the unexpected beautiful. Each piece is a conversation starter and like nothing you’d typically find on the market. My faves are her necklaces which blend so many different shapes and colors together. This method of blending could easily get messy. Under her care they become statement pieces that add pop to any outfit. It’s no wonder Hollywood came calling. She sells her baubles out of her Hollywood studio. W Magazine called Sonia’s work “an explosive mix of girlish wit and off-kilter glamour.” We’re inclined to agree.

Christmas in July

There are a few things that get my attention - bows fall in that group (it signifies a gift). This ring would be a gift that gets attention. Designer, Martin Margiela has taken the classic bow and made it a fashion statement. You can find it at Brown's in London. It's large and in charge - never a bad thing - and sits on an expandable band. Seems fitting for a birthday or Christmas gift. How cute would this be affixed to a gift box? It can be a little flashy being that it's a HUGE gift bow but rocked the right way it can be oh-so-chic!

Big Bold Bright

On the accessories side of things, it seems everything is getting big! Necklaces are chunky, bags are ginormous and rings look like brooches. They are darn right big, bright and bold and I for one couldn't be happier. It makes adding a chic touch to your look so much simpler. This ring from Erika Pena can add a little glam to anything from jeans and a tee to an evening gown on the red carpet. Taking your look from everyday to runway is as easy as going big!
